A globetrotting Chef has always been utilising his heritage,experience and gastronomic travels to create his unique modern Indian fusion cuisine with elements of molecular gastronomy. Renowned for his pioneering take on traditional Indian recipes, Stephen is credited as being among the first chefs to experiment with natural food science in his dishes.
Stephen Gomes has held the title of ‘Best UK Indian Chef’ with the prestigious Cobra Good Curry Guide for a large part of the last decade (2007/8/9/10/11/13-14) and was named Goldstar English Curry Chef of the Year (2013) and crowned Goldstar Welsh Curry Chef of the Year (2014). He was also awarded a role of honour for his culinary excellence; received the International Cuisine Award (2009); and was recently honoured as being one of the best Indian Chefs in the world for his charity recipe in the Mood Food guide. Awarded as ‘Best Indian Chef’ (2017) in the House of Commons.
Successfully ran Moksh Restaurant over a decade, bagged 45 National Awards, crowned as second best Indian restaurant in the UK. In addition to his restaurant Moksh, he has been instrumental as a Consultant Chef on the opening of Chemistry 101, Etc, Deli Fuego, Delhi Palace Continental.
